The Applying Instructional Skills Workshop (AISW) a program designed to improve teaching effectiveness for both new and experienced educators in the WSH industry. It provides a structured framework for peer feedback on microteaching, complemented by thematic sessions that support instructors’ learning. Over the course of 8 hours, participants develop and deliver three “mini-lessons” while receiving verbal and written video feedback from peers who take on the role of learners. Through an intensive experiential learning approach, the workshop fosters reflection and self-examination of teaching practices, with feedback centered on the learning process rather than lesson content.
Participants should be in good physical and mental health to fully engage in the training, and should not have any conditions that might impede their ability to participate effectively.
