The Defensive Driving for Heavy Vehicles course is designed to improve the safety and driving skills of heavy vehicle operators by focusing on defensive driving techniques, hazard recognition, and risk management. With modern roads becoming increasingly congested and unpredictable, heavy vehicle drivers must be prepared to handle various challenges, from reckless drivers to adverse weather conditions.
This course provides both classroom instruction and practical on-road training to ensure drivers develop the necessary awareness and skills to operate their vehicles safely and responsibly. Participants will learn how to anticipate and react to hazards, understand vehicle limitations, and apply defensive driving strategies to reduce the risk of accidents.
Participants should be in good physical and mental health to fully engage in the training, and should not have any conditions that might impede their ability to participate effectively. Participants must possess the Class 4 or 5 Singapore Driver’s Licence.
