This Competency Unit specifies the skills and knowledge required by people to operate in the trade pertaining to operate Reach Truck in the logistics industry in a WSQ Level 1 operation.
- Be above 18 years of age
- Have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work
- Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 3
- Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level
- Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 3; and
- Be medically fit to work at height
- 8 hours of classroom and practical training
- 1 hours of assessment including written and practical assessment.
- Interpret the WSH Act and Regulations in regard to operate a reach truck
- Follow procedures to operationalise mechanised equipment and tools
- Apply safety precautionary measures to operate mechanised equipment

The learner must achieve at least a 70% pass rate for the written assessment and 100% for the practical assessment in order to be issued with the Safety Pass awarded by UBTS ACADEMY PTE. LTD. and WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) by SkillsFuture Singapore.
Attendance Requirements: 100% for classroom and practical sessions.
Reach Truck Operator, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator, Any individual who needs to operate a Material Handling Equipment in the warehouse
