Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant is one of the skills that come under the WSQ Process Industry Framework. The module belongs to the system category under all process sectors for competency level 3.
Learners are assumed to:
- Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy level 4 and above.
- Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES Workplace Numeracy level 4 and above.
Upon successfully completion of the
- WSQ Supervise Work in Confined Space Operation (formerly known as Safety Instruction Course (Manhole) for Supervisor) OR
- WSQ Supervise Construction Work for Workplace Safety and Health (formerly known as Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course) with at least 3 years of relevant experience in confined spaces/manholes
- 29 hours of classroom and practical training
- 3 hours of assessment including written and practical assessment.
- Identify duties and responsibilities of a Manhole/Confined Space Supervisor under the WSH legislations and Codes of Practice
- Identify, prevent and control manhole hazards
- Comply with safety and health management system
- Follow a permit-to-work system
- Conduct safety and health inspection
- Conduct incident investigation

The learner must achieve at least a 75% pass rate for the written assessment and 100% for the practical assessment in order to be issued with the Safety Pass awarded by UBTS ACADEMY PTE. LTD. and WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) by SkillsFuture Singapore.
Attendance Requirements: 75% for classroom and practical sessions.
